help text in search/filter window

My search filter textbox says "put your search term here" just like other websites with multiple textboxes help you figure out what box is for what ("your email here", "enter your password", etc). Now obviously for that reason filter is picking it up and display zero results, as none of table's record contains "put your search term here".

Is there any way to define "ignore" keywords list so that they will not affect filtering?

Before you say: "just leave the box empty": I wish. Its client wish :(
