Datatables very slow in Server

I am using datatables for sorting and searching the large set of real time data that is coming from the Probe server.
The data is stored in DB2 in a DB server . I use Impact policy language to fetch the data from the DB and populating the
html table. The datatables plugin is very slow in impact server and its not rendering the results properly. I am using IE 7 browser.
How to improve the efficiency of processing? .
