Individual Column Filter Problem

I have a problem where my global filter functions fine when including an apostrophe in my filter criteria, but my individual column filters return zero results when using an apostrophe. I'm assuming this is an escaping issue, but I haven't figured out where I need to make the change.

Put an apostrophe in the global filter and it will return results. Now remove that filter then try and put an apostrophe in the instructor column search field. You get zero results.
